A man was seriously injured after a reported shooting Monday afternoon in Dayton.

According to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center, the shooting was reported at 4:13 p.m. in the 200 block of Boyer Street, a block west of Broadway, just north of U.S. 35.

A 911 caller told dispatchers that a man in a vehicle was shot multiple times and that the suspects were running away from the scene.

Another caller said that they saw two men running away from the scene towards S. Paul Lawrence Dunbar Street holding guns.

Dayton Police Lt. Jacquelyn Imwalle said that the man suffered serious injuries but is in stable condition.

Imwalle said that one of the vehicles on the street was involved in the incident, and that the street would be closed for a short time due to the investigation.
