A Harrison Twp. man is wanted after he reportedly choked a woman last week and attacked her with a baseball bat.

Hobert Brown, 64, was charged Thursday in Vandalia Municipal Court with felonious assault and strangulation, and a warrant was issued for his arrest, to be held without bond.

A woman who drove herself Feb. 27 to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office substation in Harrison Twp. told investigators that Brown hit her twice with a baseball bat and choked her and dragged her through the home until she was able to get away to her vehicle, according to an affidavit.

Deputies did not find Brown when they went to the woman’s house and he was not in custody as of Monday.
