A 48-year-old man who died following a shooting in Dayton on Fountain Avenue Wednesday has been identified.

The man was Charles Nolan, of Dayton, according to Montgomery County Coroner Dr. Kent Harshbarger. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Dayton police responded around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday to a house in the 100 block of Fountain Avenue after a 911 caller reported a woman shot Nolan in the stomach and then left on foot with the gun.

Dayton police on Thursday identified the shooting suspect as 37-year-old Cierra Jett and asked for the public’s help to find her. About two hours later police said they had located her.

However, it is not clear whether she is in custody.

As of Friday afternoon, she was not listed as an inmate at the Montgomery County Jail and no charges have been filed against her.
