A Dayton man was sentenced to more than a decade in prison in connection to a Harrison Twp. home invasion where children as young as 2 were held at gunpoint, according to the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office.

Jarrelle Earl Anderson, 21, was found guilty of two counts of aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, kidnapping, having weapons while under disability and two counts of aggravated menacing. He was sentenced to serve between 12 and 15 years in prison.

The Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office said in a press release that Anderson, co-defendant Darrius Jamal Pattson and a juvenile on Nov. 26, 2019, went to a home on Monroe Avenue.

“Defendant Pattson kicked open the door and both adult defendants entered the home brandishing firearms,” the prosecutor’s office said. “The defendants held the two adult residents and two of their children, ages 5 and 2, at gunpoint. The defendants ransacked the home, taking firearms, cash and other items before fleeing.”

Pattson, 22, was sentenced in December to 12 to 15 years in prison.
