Tennessee ‘most wanted’ homicide fugitive captured in Dayton

A man who was placed on Tennessee’s most wanted list last week was arrested in Dayton.

Billy Jay Randolph, 48, was captured after he was found in Dayton, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigations.

“Thank you for joining us in staying vigilant in the search for him over the past few days!” the bureau said in a tweet that was posted Sunday morning.

Randolph was wanted in connection to a mid-November stabbing in Campbell County, Tennessee, according to local news reports.

Randolph was booked around 12:30 a.m. Sunday into the Montgomery County Jail by Dayton Police, jail records show.
