Wednesdays's drawing for the Powerball jackpot, expected to be more than $1 billion, has led dreamers nationwide to stores looking for lucky numbers. Are any stores luckier than others?
Nearly 1,300 outlets sell lottery games in the eight-county region*. Here's what we learned in looking through their 2015 records for lottery sales and prizes awarded.
About $200 million was won in the region in 2015
By county:
10 places (out of 1,299) saw at least $1 million in winnings
The top 5:
A Butler County ZIP code won the highest prize amount in the region
The 45014 ZIP code won almost $10 million in Ohio Lottery prizes in 2015. The top 3:
22 businesses sold at least $1 million in lottery games
More than $348 million in lottery games were sold overall. The top 5:
A Moraine gas station sold the most in big winners ($3.5 milion worth)
The Marathon station at 2501 Dryden Rd. sold games that won $3.53 million in prizes that totaled at least $600 each (the level at which a form must be filled out to receize the prize award from the Ohio Lottery). Winnings of $599 or less can be claimed at any location.

*Butler, Clark, Champaign, Clark, Greene, Miami, Montgomery, Preble and Warren counties comprise the eight-county region.
