The two-hour segment, titled “Surviving R. Kelly: The Impact,” will explore how the documentary, which delved into the singer’s history of alleged physical and emotional abuse of women, has affected those featured in the six-part series.
Soledad O’Brien will host the event, and it will air at 10 p.m. EST on Saturday, May 4.
The original documentary debuted in January in six parts over the course of three nights. After it the full run of the series aired, activists continued to protest the singer online and at his Chicago studio.

Shortly after the show, Kelly's record label, Sony,and dropped him. He was also charged with 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse.
Kelly has denied all sexual assault allegations against him.
