Arby’s to celebrate with 64-cent roast beef sandwich

The Arby's Roast Beef sandwich chain will celebrate its 1964 founding on Tuesday by offering a coupon for its signature Classic Roast Beef Sandwich for 64 cents, redeemable only on Tuesday, July 23.

The regular price for an Arby's Classic Roast Beef sandwich is $3.39. There is a limit of one coupon per customer. Coupons are available from the Arby's web site. The offer is valid at participating restaurants — Dayton-area locations are participating, a store manager at a Kettering location said — while supplies last.

The first Arby’s Classic Roast Beef Sandwich was served in Boardman, Ohio, near Youngstown. That first Arby’s had only 10 seats and was shaped like a Conestoga wagon, Arby’s officials said.

Atlanta-based Arby’s Restaurant Group, owned by the Roark Capital Group private equity firm, operates more than 3,400 restaurants, including more than two dozen in the Dayton area.
