Nichols said it was an isolated incident and Fifth Third Field plans future concerts. Nichols pointed out successful concerts at the stadium, including Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, Bryan Adams and John Mellencamp.
“We will have future concerts, and we have had successful concerts in the past,” he said.
According to Maroon 5’s website, this is the second recent venue change for the group. An August concert at the Verizon Wireless Center in Noblesville, Ind., was rescheduled to Sept. 1 at Murat Theatre in Indianapolis.
The venue is the only change in the local Maroon 5 appearance. The show will still start at 7 p.m. and include guests Kris Allen, V.V. Brown and MIGGS.
