He had been diagnosed with a severe upper-respiratory infection and doctors said they were afraid it could develop into pneumonia due to the drain touring causes to his body, Billboard reported.
The tour is expected to be rescheduled this fall, and will pick up with gigs in Australia, New Zealand and Japan in March, before heading back to the states May 29 with an appearance at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Rolling Stone reported.
