Ele Cake Co. to host Buttercream Festival, wine tasting

WEST CARROLLTON — Ele Cake Co., 810 E. Dixie Drive, will host a Buttercream Festival on Sept. 11-12 and a wine tasting on Sept. 16.

The two-day Buttercream Festival kicks off at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at the bakery, and will feature live music, food and inflatable bounce events for children, according to Melody Richey, ele’s co-owner. On Sunday, Sept. 12, a 5K run/walk benefiting 4 Paws for Ability will be held at 9 a.m. The cost is $20 in advance and $25 on race day. Students 18 and younger can register for $10. Following the race, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the festival will continue with children’s entertainment, a cake-decorating contest, a cruise-in and live music. Festival admission is free. Ele will also host a wine tasting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16. Admission is $20 and will include four samples of wine, beer, or soda, as well as appetizers and live music.
