“Vendors, customers, performers and longtime employees, there are a lot of great women that make Star City Brewing what it is,” said Justin Kohnen, owner of Star City Brewing Company. “We wanted to take this day to highlight all of the ways they contribute by featuring a beer made by them, music made by them, food made by them and various other goods made by them!”

On International Women’s Day at Star City Brewing, there will be music from Amber Hargett and Kyleen Downes, The Drunken Waffle owned by Beth Sparks will be set up in the parking lot, the Starlight Market will feature a number of female entrepreneurs and artisans, and finally the brewery will be tapping a beer made by the female employees and friends of the brewery, a Chocolate, Raspberry, Cayenne Pepper Stout. A portion of the proceeds from the night will also be donated to the Artemis Center, providing support to Dayton-area victims of domestic violence.

“Putting this event together, it’s awesome to see all of the amazing things being done by women here in our community,” said Kohnen. “So come eat, drink and be merry with some of the best women anywhere!”
