BREAKING NEWS: Luke Bryan concert planned for area farm dropped

Ohio concert being moved to a location near Columbus, to be determined.

The  Luke Bryan concert that had been planned for a farm in our neck of the woods is being moved.

Shannon Boerger of  Springfork Farms in Irwin , a community near Springfield and Urbana, confirmed that the Sept. 27 stop of Bryan's farm tour will not happen at her family's farm after all.

Country superstar Luke Bryan will embark on his tenth annual
						Farm Tour this year, kicking off on Sept. 27 in Irwin, Ohio.

The website for the tour now indicates that an Ohio concert is still planned for Sept. 27, but now at a location still to be announced in the Columbus area. It says more information will be available soon.

A message has been sent to tour organizers seeking comment.

The tour includes five other farms as well:

🤠 Sept 28 at Atkins Farm in Pesotum, Ill.

🤠 Sept. 29 at Ziel Farm in Boone, Iowa

🤠 Oct. 4 at Whitehurst Cattle Company in Archer, Fla.

🤠 Oct. 5 at Misty Morning Farms in North Augusta, S.C.

🤠 Oct. 6 at Doug Yates Farms in Ringgold, Ga.

Tickets for the tour will go on sale at 10 a.m. June 6 at lukebryan.com/FarmTour.
Tickets will be $51 in advance and $60 at the gate if still available. Parking will be $5 in advance and $20 day of. Once the show sells out, no tickets will be sold at the gate. Parking will begin at 2 p.m., and doors will open at 5 p.m. with the show beginning at 6 p.m.

Bryan — a judge on "American Idol" — awards college scholarships to students from farming families attending local colleges or universities near the tour stops.

More than 50 scholarships have been given out.

Bryan is a two-time Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year, a five-time host of the ACM Awards and a NSAI Artist/Songwriter of the Year.

He was named a CMT Artist of the Year six consecutive years.

His hits include “Country Girl;” “Do I;” “Most people are good;” Drink Beer; “Drunk on you;” “Strip it down” and “Huntin, Fishin & Lovin’.”
