Concerts we're already looking forward to in 2016

It's a new year, which means time for a new hole to be burned in our wallets from all of the great concerts we're about to enjoy.

We Dayton music lovers have long been used to traveling to see our favorite bands — to Cincinnati and Columbus, Indianapolis and Louisville, even Pittsburgh and Chicago — but in 2015, we noticed something: The Miami Valley was pulling in some pretty heavy hitters of its own. We saw the Avett Brothers, Willie Nelson, Heart and more at Fraze Pavilion, and the new Rose Music Center at the Heights in Huber Heights brought great shows from the Counting Crows, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Blondie and Melissa Etheridge. It's like promoters are finally realizing that hey, there's a whole bunch of people right here who are dying to see live music less than an hour from their house.

Though we're still waiting on most of 2016's local concert announcements, there are already several that are on our "must-go" list.  This article will be updated as more concerts are announced; in the meantime, make sure to nab your tickets ASAP for this year's sure-to-be-bangers:
