“You’re going to get that classic small-room feel with that raw, in-your-face energy that Bob Pollard and company bring when they hit the stage,” said Oddbody’s co-owner, Richard Eckhardt. “It should be a pretty fun night for everybody.”
Eckhardt said GBV has been on the venue’s target list of bands to book. A possible 2014 date fell through. “It was a bummer,” Eckhardt said.
Then recently, the band contacted Oddbody’s to make it up to them. “The agent emailed us, ‘Do you have June 23 open?’ and we said, Sure do,’” Eckhardt said.
Oddbody's is located at 5418 Burkhardt Road in Dayton. The concert begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are $22 advance and $27 on the day of the show. They are on sale at www.oddbodys.com
