Dayton pulls biggest prank EVER on America thanks to Limp Bizkit

Hey America, the joke's on you.

No one, well hardly anyone, in Dayton thought there was going to actually be an actual Limp Bizkit show at the Sunoco at Wayne and Keowee.

Sunoco is a gas station

The prank  Dayton.com first told you about Monday was pushed by Brian Baker and his friends. It took off on Facebook and took off from there with stories from  The Daily Beast, Vice and Gawker, among other national publications.

Today, headlines read like we didn't know what was going on. (Stupid bumpkins).

"Limp Bizkit fans turn up to fake gig at Ohio petrol station," the Guardian's headline proclaims.

"These Limp Bizkit Fans fell for a 4/20 prank and it got way out of hand," NME claims.

Um, what!?!

The fake show was no doubt annoying to the city.

The folks at Sunoco and police were not amused. Dayton police tweeted that the show was fake, but a lot of other Daytonians were in on it the whole time -- cuz, um, we can take a joke.

Dum-dums, we aren't dum-dums.

We know what 4/20 is and we know that Sunoco is a petrol station and not a concert venue.

Half of the people clearly hadn't listened to a Limp Bizkit song since 2004.

We all knew Limp Bizkit wasn't going to play at Sunoco because A: it is a gas station and B: permits.
