Along with music, games, food and daily yoga and mindfulness sessions, former NFL player Chris Borland said there will be a series of discussions on gun violence, racism and mental health that will involve national experts, state and local policy makers and Dayton area people directly impacted by those issues.
Borland is a former football star at Alter High School, the University of Wisconsin and with the San Francisco 49ers. After retiring from football more than four years ago, he has focused on activism.

His attention has turned in recent months to helping his hometown rebuild after tragedy.
“I felt helpless,” Borland told Dayton Daily News columnist Tom Archdeacon in the days after the mass shooting. “I was thousands of miles away and I wanted to do something. I have benefitted so much from the Dayton community over the years and I wanted to help in some way now.”
All events will take place at the museum (indoor and outdoors). Parking will be available at the Westminster church next door, organizers say.
