It’s officially fair season!

Get your bellies ready for funnel cake, elephant ears, deep-fried cheesecake, concerts, demolition derbies, tractor pulls and lots of adorable farm friends.

Here’s our guide to fair season throughout the region:

CLINTON COUNTY FAIR

July 6-13, 2019

8 a.m. to 11 p.m. at Clinton County Fairgrounds, 958 W. Main St., Wilmington 

Enjoy eight days of action featuring a variety of food, games, rides, 4H projects, Junior Fair/Youth event, harness racing, an antique tractor pull, a demolition derby and live entertainment.

Cost: Daily gate entry $10; season pass $30; 5 and under free. Ride armbands cost TBD. No refunds; no rain dates; no exchanges on all tickets and passes.

LOGAN COUNTY FAIR

July 7-13, 2019

Gates open at 7:30 a.m. daily at Logan County Fairgrounds, 301 E. Lake Ave., Bellefontaine 

Carnival rides and games, monster trucks, harness racing, calf scramble, tractor pull and more.

Cost: General admission is $5 for ages 6 and up, Monday through Thursday, and $7 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Children ages 5 and under are free. Season passes are $25 and on sale at the fair manager's office. Parking on the grounds is $2.

Recognition Days: Recognition days: Sunday — Veteran's Day, all veterans showing proof of service admitted free; Wednesday — Senior's Day, seniors will be given $3 special pricing. Admission price includes complimentary breakfast and lunch and other special activities; Thursday — Kids Day, children will enjoy special ride pricing until 5 p.m.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY FAIR

July 8-14, 2019

8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily at Montgomery County Fairgrounds, 645 Infirmary Road, Jefferson Twp.

Featuring all the fair favorites: Demolition Derby, 4H projects, junior fair, livestock, petting zoo, dog show, circus, flower show, games, rides, fair eats and treats, harness racing, rodeo, and free entertainment with paid admission, plus much more. Rides open at 1 p.m. daily.

Cost: Daily admission $10/person, age 6 and under free with paying adult. Includes parking, if available, and grandstand event for that evening only. Veteran's Day and Senior Citizen's Day — 1/2 price admission all day.

WARREN COUNTY FAIR

July 15-20, 2019

8 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily at Warren County Fairgrounds, 665 N. Broadway, Lebanon.

Food, games, 4H livestock shows/horse shows, live music and entertainment, Valley Exotics Zoo & Pony Rides and more.

Cost: Daily admission $5 Monday, $8 Tuesday through Saturday, kids 8 and under are free. Season tickets are $25 each. Parking is free. Ride tickets: Single $1.50, 10 tickets for $15, 16 tickets for $20; Arm Bands - Monday $15, Tuesday $12,Wednesday-Saturday $18.

CLARK COUNTY FAIR

July 19-26, 2019

8 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Clark County Fairgrounds, 4401 S. Charleston Pike, Springfield

Fair includes livestock exhibits, entertainment, musical entertainment, midway, food vendors, exhibitors selling their wares and more. Hasting & Co. is set to perform on July 24.

Gates open at 7 a.m. daily at Butler County Fairgrounds, 1715 Fairgrove Ave., Hamilton

Food, games, 4H projects, tractor pulls, demolition derby and rodeo, arts, horse shows, rides, farm zone, etc.

Cost: General admission per day is $8, Children 6-12 accompanied by paying adult (gate only) $3, Membership ticket (7-day admission and parking $35, 7-day pass — 7-day admission and parking $30, 4-day pass — 4-day admission and parking $20. Grandstand events also carry an additional charge (varies by day)

SHELBY COUNTY FAIR

July 21-27, 2019

Gates open at 8 a.m. daily; fair closes at 10 p.m. Saturday at Shelby County Fairgrounds, 655 S. Highland Ave., Sidney 

Domestic and livestock shows, 4-H exhibits, amusement rides, a demolition derby, tractor pull, local band performances, cheerleading competitions, harness racing, crafts, food and more.

Cost: General admission $9, season passes $25, parking on fairgrounds (limited to livestock exhibitors and merchant exhibitors only) $30. Additional cost for ride bands.

Rides, food, games and animals add up to a day of fun at the Preble Co. Fair in Eaton on Wednesday, Aug. 3. The fair runs through Friday, Aug. 5.

Gates open at 7 a.m. daily at Preble County Fairgrounds, 722 S. Franklin St., Eaton 

Food, games, rides, visual arts, livestock projects, Jr. Fair, parade, mule and donkey show, live entertainment, cook-offs, and more.

Cost: General admission to grounds $6, children 3 and under are free. Membership ticket $25; weekly pass $25; veterans and one guest admitted free on the first Saturday of the fair. Free parking.

Food, games, rides, calf scramble, demo derby, harness racing, truck and tractor pulls, live entertainment and more. Note: Rides will not be open on Sunday. Monday to Thursday rides will open at 4 p.m. Please check the website to confirm details.

Cost: Daily admission $6 for ages 10 and older; 9 and under get in free with a paying adult. On Military Discount Day, show your military ID and get in for $3; Senior Citizen Discount Day ( seniors get in for $3). Rides extra.

MIAMI COUNTY FAIR

Aug. 9-15, 2019

Gates open at 7 a.m. daily at Miami County Fairgrounds, 650 N. County Road 25-A, Troy.

Food, games, rides, livestock exhibits, live entertainment and more.

Cost: Cost: Day passes $5, children 8 and under are free. Season pass $25, includes 7 daily admission tickets; exhibitor pass $20 for 7 daily passes; Golden Anniversary pass — Free (Available at fair office for any couple who has been married for 50-plus years. Husband and wife must both be present to receive pass. Jr. Fair Booster $45 for 7 daily passes. Includes name in following year's fairbook and also on a sign at the fair.

DARKE COUNTY FAIR

Aug. 16-24, 2019

Gates open 7 a.m. to midnight daily. Vendors open at 10 a.m.; vendors close 9 to 11 p.m. Rides open at noon; rides close at 11 p.m. at Darke County Fairgrounds, 800 Sweitzer St., Greenville.

Music, harness racing, tractor pull. Concert entertainment features Three Dog Night with special guest Starship featuring Mickey Thomas on Sunday, Aug. 18.

Cost: Cost: Daily: $7 per person for ages 12 and older. Ages 11 and under admitted free with paying adult. 9-day pass: $20 per person (ages 12 and older). Ages 11 and under admitted free with paying adult. Grandstand/track $10 per person (general admission), Grandstand Sections C and D $12 per person (reserved). Infield Pit Pass $17 per person (general admission).
