Today, June 29, Yellow Cab Tavern will host the fourth annual Taco Truck Takeover presented by Smokinbeebeeq, where all the trucks will serve up their best version of everyone’s favorite portable shelled food, tacos.
“Tacos are arguably one of the most perfect foods out there,” Jeff Stringer, owner of Smokin’ Bee-Bee-Q said. “Whether traditional or modern, whether veggie or barbecue, there’s so many ways to make a great taco.”
According to the Facebook event listing, every variety and style of taco will be available from traditional to modern to downright experimental.
At 7 p.m., the trucks will hand over one of their best-crafted tacos for judging in a “best bite” contest. The winner will be announced later in the evening.

The trucks participating in the takeover include: Drunken Waffle, Twisted Taco, Hunger Paynes, The Painted Pepper and Smokin’ Bee-Bee-Q.
There will also be live music, cocktails, craft beers and dessert trucks on site.
“This is a great mix of trucks and I’m excited to see how they fill up their tortillas this year,” Stringer said.
