Craig Stammen visits UD in 2011.

Former Dayton Flyers pitcher Craig Stammen and his wife Audrey, an assistant coach with the UD volleyball program the last two seasons, made some offseason news in a different sport this week.

Stammen recorded a video of Audrey hitting a hole in one during their honeymoon in Hawaii. The two were married on Jan. 21.

On the video, the Versailles High School graduate Stammen can be heard saying, “Go in the hole” and then screaming in celebration.

“A hole in one, Audrey!” Stammen shouts.

Stammen pitched for the Washington Nationals from 2009-15. He has a career ERA of 3.91 in 229 appearances. He missed most of the 2015 season after undergoing flexor tendon surgery in April 2015. Last season, he pitched in Double A and Triple A in the Cleveland Indians organization. He signed a minor-league contract with the Padres in December.
