The event will pair four Peerless Mill wines and ciders with gourmet grilled cheeses from The Canal House Eatery.
“We had a great time working with Chef Tanya Straight at our Beer and Pie around the holidays so thought it’d be great to have her back this spring for Wine and Grilled Cheese,” said Justin Kohnen, owner of Star City Brewing Company. “Featuring four wines and ciders made right here in house, we couldn’t be more excited for the pairings that she’s thought up!”
Here are the flavor combinations to look forward to.
Zinfandel with Tuscan Beef Grill
Creamy goat cheese, sauteed sweet peppers and thinly sliced beef on honey wheat artisan bread.
Dry Riesling with Caprese
Fresh mozzarella, pesto aioli, thin sliced tomato, drizzled with balsamic glaze on grilled sourdough.
Sweet Cider with Smokehouse Grill
Smoked gouda, swiss and cheddar with apple wood smoked bacon and house made mixed berry preserves on grilled rustic white bread.
Dry Mead with Sweet Side
Sliced Brie layered with apricot preserves and candied pecans on grilled sweet hawaiian bread.
The event, which costs $29, will be followed by live music by Amber Hargett from 8-10 p.m.
