The TGI Fridays at the Mall at Fairfield Commons in Beavercreek will host a regional bartender competition Wednesday night, Aug. 16.

The competition will allow several of the restaurant chain's bartenders to show their moves while also raising funds for the Blue Star Mothers of Dayton. The event, which is free and open to the public, begins at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the TGI Fridays at 2799 Centre Drive at the mall in Beavercreek.

Seven bartenders from TGI Fridays locations throughout the Dayton, Cincinnati and Kentucky region are scheduled to compete by creating classic cocktails while demonstrating their mixology skills along with some dramatic moves with bottles and ingredients.

The regional bartender championship will be sponsored by Jack Daniels, according to a TGI Fridays spokeswoman.
