The Yellow Cab Tavern has been a staple for food trucks and live entertainment in downtown Dayton for six years, from one-off events to weekend hours. Now, they've announced they are rebranding to "The Yellow Cab Food Hub," and expanding their offerings to a set weekly schedule of multiple food trucks and live entertainment.

“There’s a lot changing about how customers experience food and entertainment and we wanted to retool our model to better serve that need,” said organizer Brian Johnson in a news release.

“The casual, quick-serve model that food trucks offer were built for the times we’re living in,” Johnson continued. “It’s low contact and we’re able to offer an incredibly large patio to keep people distant. Rebranding and retooling to be able to offer this concept to customers six days a week just made sense.”

The expansion of food truck offerings means that you'll be able to find everything including tacos, pizza, bubble tea, vegan fare and more. Patrons will be able to order from all of the vendors on the lot for delivery or consolidated carryout at yellowcabfoodtrucks.com

The food truck delivery service is one of the big changes this year. The Pizza Bandit has become the venue's resident food truck and a delivery and carry-out option, particularly throughout the coronavirus shutdown.

“We understand the needs of customers vary widely in these times.” Johnson said. “That’s why we are so excited to be offering the food truck rally experience for delivery or consolidated carryout. We’ve been working on developing this service for months and now we’ve got it!”

Another important aspect to the updated concept is more entertainment and programming. They’re excited to bring an eclectic mix of live trivia, live music, spoken word, community events, karaoke and more.
