Updated: Guide to this summer’s Dayton-area festivals

Festival season is here and there are plenty to attend — with live music, vendors, plenty of food options and more. The following is a guide to some of those coming up in the Dayton region.

When: 3-10 p.m. June 29

Location: The Park at Austin Landing: 10400 Innovation Drive, Miamisburg

Description: For fans of the pickle, Austin Landing will be holding their annual Pickle Fest June 29. There will be various pickle-themed activities at the fest, along with a wide selection of food options. Tickets for this event are $5

🏖️Americana Festival

When: July 3-4

Location: Activities kick off at Centerville High School Stadium, 500 E. Franklin St., Centerville

Description: Taking place throughout Fourth of July Weekend, the Americana Festival has a number of activities for families to participate in. The event will start off with a fireworks display on July 3 at the Centerville High School Stadium. The festival will also have an auto show, 5K, community concert and a street fair.

When: 5-9 p.m. July 13

Location: Yellow Cab Tavern: 700 E. 4th St., Dayton

Description: The Yellow Cab Tavern’s third annual Dayton Mac and Cheese Fest will be held July 13. This free event will feature a number of food trucks from the area including Crusin Cuisine, Slide Thru and Pizza Bandit.

🏖️United Irish of Dayton Celtic Festival

When: July 26-28

Location: Riverscape MetroPark, 111 E. Monument Ave., Dayton

Description: Taking place at the Riverscape MetroPark in Dayton, the United Irish of Dayton Celtic Festival is a free event that celebrates the history and culture of Ireland. There will be food, live entertainment and drinks. This event is sponsored by local bars Dublin Pub and Slyder’s Tavern.

🏖️Art in the City

When: 1-7 p.m. August 3

Location: Downtown Dayton

Description: The Downtown Dayton Partnership and AES Ohio are presenting 2024′s Art in the City festival on August 3. This event will bring local artists, from painters to dancers, together to celebrate their work.

🏖️All Ohio Balloon Fest

When: Aug. 8-10

Location: Union Country Airport: 1500 Weaver Road entrance, Marysville

Description: The Ohio Balloon Festival is a multi-day event where families can eat food, listen to music and check out air balloon launchings. Each night, a variety of hot air balloons will take to the sky, including ones based on characters like Yoda from Star Wars. However, all aerial entertainment is weather-dependent.

🏖️Germanfest Picnic

When: Aug. 9-11

Location: 1400 E. 5th St., Dayton

Description: For more than 40 years, Germanfest has been celebrating the German heritage of the Miami Valley with food, dancing and live entertainment. This free, family-friendly event helps support scholarship awards for youth in the area.

🏖️Dayton Porchfest

When: 12:45-6:45 p.m. Aug. 17

Location: St. Anne’s Hill Historical District, Dayton

Description: Held in porches and backyards throughout Dayton’s St. Anne Hill district, the Dayton Porchfest is a free music festival being held on Aug. 17. There will be 57 bands performing at this event, including Avalon Park, Lemongrass, Joe Waters, MelinaMarie and Mxntis.

🏖️Dayton African American Cultural Festival

When: Noon-8 p.m. Aug. 17 and noon-6 p.m. Aug. 18

Location: Riverscape MetroPark: 229 E. Monument Ave.

Description: The Dayton African American Cultural Festival will be returning to the RiverScape MetroPark. There will be food and craft vendors, children’s’ activities, live music and more.

🏖️ArtFest on Main

When: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Aug. 24

Location: South Main Street, Springboro

Description: Featuring live entertainment, food trucks, children’s activities and a number of art booths, the ArtFest on Main returns to Springboro August 24. Artists of all mediums and styles will be welcome to the event. Students interested in participating will also be given access to a free booth to display art.

🏖️Greater Dayton Lebanese Festival

When: Aug. 23-25

Location: 500 Nutt Road, Washington Township

Description: Featuring authentic Lebanese food and music, the Greater Dayton Lebanese Festival will take place this August. The festival will also have amusement rides for children.

🏖️Taco and Nacho Fest

When: 3-10 p.m. August 24

Location: 10400 Innovation Drive, Miamisburg

Description: The third annual Taco and Nacho Fest will take place at Austin Landing on Aug. 24. The event will not only feature nachos and tacos, but also beer, tequila and other cocktails as well. There will also be live music at the event.

🏖️Dayton Greek Festival

When: Sept. 6-8

Location: 500 Belmonte Park N., Dayton

Description: The Dayton Greek Festival will return this September. There will be live music, food, dancing and more celebrating Greek culture.
