Dayton-area grad praised for work on ‘Moonlight’, Beyoncé’s ‘Lemonade’

If things go as predicted, they'll have to make room for a Centerville grad’s movie at the Academy Awards in February.

Hanna Beachler, a product of Wright State University's film and production design program, was the  production designer on the Barry Jenkins-directed film "Moonlight."

The New Orleans-based filmmaker also was the production designer on  Beyoncé's critically-acclaimed HBO special "Lemonade" and the 2016 Academy Award nominated film "Creed."

In its Nov. 29 edition, Variety called Beachler "Hollywood's production designer of the moment."
