A sunflower field along U.S. 68 in Yellow Springs is a popular spot to visit, and it is expected to hit peak bloom starting Sept. 27.
“Take a stroll through this golden field and soak in the stunning display of sunflowers while they’re in full bloom,” stated a Facebook event page by the Tecumseh Land Trust and Yellow Springs Chamber of Commerce.

The sunflower field will be open to the public on select days through Sunday, Oct. 6. For more information, visit yellowspringsohio.org.
Burwinkel Farms, mostly known for its sweet corn, is in Ross Twp. in Butler County and is also home to a photo-worthy sunflower field. On Sept. 27, Burwinkel will host “Sips in Sunflowers,” a ticketed event with the chance to visit its sunflower field, a hayride to the pumpkin patch and corn maze, hors d’oeuvres amid the sunflowers, craft beer, local wine, live entertainment and more.
It also has a sunset sunflowers hayride on Sept 28.
Butler County is no stranger to sunflower fields: People can also find them at Niederman Family Farm in Liberty Twp., Barn-N-Bunk Farm Market in Trenton, and Jackson Family Farm in Middletown.
In Sidney, Ohio, Crossway Farms is a place to check out the sunflower field. The family owned farm has been touting its fall treat options that are already available to customers, including hand-dipped caramel apples and pumpkin-flavored slushies. The first of the mums for sale have arrived, too.
Crossway is located at 2211 Cisco Road.
Blooms & Berries Farm Market and Garden Center in Loveland, closer to Cincinnati, is another hot sunflower spot to check out. It offers berry picking for customers and has a slate of fall things to do on the farm starting Sept. 14 and running through Oct. 31. Tickets for Fall on the Farm events go on sale Sept. 3. It’s so popular it pushes folks to get tickets online in advance.
