1.) Sugarcreek MetroPark, Bellbrook
This place is a beaut, and features a living tree tunnel (yes, you read that right). It's also referred to as the Osage Orange Tunnel. To get there from the park's main parking lot on Conference Road, take the 1.3-mile Orange Trail. On your way to the tunnel, about .7 miles from the trailhead, you'll pass the Three Sisters, a trio of large oaks that predate Columbus' voyage to the New World.

You scream, I scream, we all scream! A local favorite that draws visitors from all over (including one particular Grey's Anatomy star), Young's is more than just ice cream -- though admittedly, they do that very, very well. You can play a game of putt-putt, hit some golf balls at the driving range, or hit a few home runs in the batting cages. After that, head over to the barn to hang out with some majorly cute goats, calves, and maybe a pig or two.

A great place to go skiing, snowboarding or tubing, this place is open again after it was shut down in 2015 due to a fire.

4.) Jungle Jim’s International Market, Cincinnati
We know the Cincy market was mentioned, but we've got an even closer location in Fairfield (lucky us!). In addition to being a foodie wonderland (seriously -- it has aisle after aisle of items from more than 70 different countries), Jungle Jim's also hosts great events where you can try everything from beer to wine to cheese and much more.

This was a new one to us, and one we're eagerly looking forward to checking out. According to the Great Parks of Hamilton County website, Glenwood is "beautifully landscaped with trails, formal gardens, prairies, forests and wetlands, Glenwood Gardens is a great escape from the daily grind." Sign us up. In the meantime, you can check out some great playgrounds here in Dayton, including what might be the craziest slide in town.
