Shop owner, Danielle Goodman, is no stranger to Dayton – in fact, this California transplant has called downtown Dayton home since 1995. She and her husband spend time visiting local restaurants and breweries, as well as enjoying local entertainment around the city. It’s no wonder that she chose downtown Dayton for the location of Grace Lane Boutique.

Goodman created Grace Lane Boutique as a way to promote ethically-made fashion. After the Rana Plaza garment factory collapse in 2013 that resulted in the deaths of 1,134 workers, Goodman was moved to discontinue purchasing clothing from companies that produce their items unethically.
“I couldn’t believe human beings were treated in such a way. This was 2013 for goodness sake!” said Goodman. She explains “my hope through Grace Lane Boutique is not only to offer ethical fashions, but also help educate consumers of the consequences of fast fashion. Our clothes should not come at the cost of people or our planet.”
