Not only is the lock changed on the former Dayton Daily News building, but so is the actual door.

Local businessman Steve Rauch said Monday there is good reason a door was added to the property at 45 S. Ludlow St. in downtown Dayton.

“So we can get in the building,” Rauch said.

The white door replaced plywood panels.

A wood frame door had once hung there.

That building has been listed for sale at $950,000.

The Ludlow property has been vacant since April 2007. That year the newspaper relocated to a former NCR Corp. building at 1611 S. Main St.

In 2010, Cox Media Group Ohio also consolidated its local television and radio properties at the Main Street facility.
