A man was taken into custody Thursday morning following a four-hour SWAT standoff in Dayton.

No injuries were reported, according to a Montgomery County Regional Dispatch sergeant.

Dayton police responded to a house in the 4300 block of Queens Avenue around 1:49 a.m. on a report of a domestic issue.

When officers arrived, a woman reported the suspect held a knife to her throat and choked her, said Dayton police Maj. Chris Malson.

“The suspect barricaded himself in the house and made threats to shoot officers at the scene,” he added.

Around 3:28 a.m., crews requested SWAT respond to the scene.

Crews established a perimeter around the house and issued commands to the man. After four hours, he left the house and was taken into custody without incident, Malson said.
