Man shot multiple ties in Dayton, in stable condition

One man was injured in a shooting in Dayton on Saturday evening.

Crews responded to reports of a shooting in the first block of Knecht Drive around 5:47 p.m., according to the Montgomery County Regional Center Dispatch.

When police arrived, they found a 20-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, said Dayton police Lt. Steven Bauer. He was transported to Miami Valley Hospital and is in stable condition.

Crews determined the shooting scene was in the alley of the 3000 block of North Main Street.

Dispatch initially said the shooting involved a possible attempted robbery and that a gray Mustang may be involved.

The shooting remains under investigation at this time.
