UPDATED: 1 woman injured after shooting in Dayton Saturday

A woman was shot Saturday afternoon when a bullet came into the window and reportedly struck her in the mouth, according to a 911 call log.

Dayton crews were dispatched at 3:08 p.m. to an apartment in the 1000 block of South Euclid Avenue, according to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch.

“The shot came from the neighbors from the left, [of their apartment]” a 911 caller said.

The gunshot victim, a 40-year-old woman, was taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, Dayton police Lt. Steven Bauer said.

This is under investigation by DPD’s Violent Offender Unit.
