1 person killed after 3-vehicle crash Saturday morning

A three-vehicle crash killed one person and injured a second person in Beavercreek Twp. Saturday.

The Xenia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol identified the deceased person as Robin Phillips, 66, of Xenia.

Crews responded to reports of a multi-vehicle crash on U.S. 35, east of Alpha Road, around 10:27 a.m., the patrol said.

OSHP said the driver of a 2004 Honda Odyssey was traveling west on U.S. 35 and hit the rear of Phillips' 2025 Nissan Kicks vehicle. Phillips then traveled off the right side of the roadway.

The Honda continued in a westerly direction and hit the rear of a 2017 Chevrolet Equinox, the patrol continued. The Honda then traveled off the right side of the roadway.

The driver of the Honda suffered minor injuries, and the driver of the Chevrolet was uninjured, the patrol said.

OSHP said drug use is suspected and the crash is still under investigation.

The patrol was assisted at the scene by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, Beavercreek Twp. Fire Department/EMS, AJ’s Towing and Sandy’s Towing.
