1 taken to hospital after Kettering house fire; heavy smoke, flames visible

One person was taken to a local hospital Friday afternoon following a house fire in Kettering with heavy smoke and flames visible when crews arrived.

The fire was reported around 2:30 p.m. in the 700 block of Broad Boulevard, near California Avenue and appeared to center on the attached garage. The Kettering Fire Department reported on social media that “fire and heavy smoke were observed on arrival.”
