Medics transported the woman to the hospital for an evaluation.
The fire was reported at 6:58 a.m. and firefighters arrived within five minutes.
Crews found smoke showing from the second floor of the house and were able to get the fire inside the house under control quickly, French said.
Firefighters were at the scene for approximately three hours.
Dayton fire investigators determined the cause to be accidental.
A preliminary damage estimate is not available at this time.
