A Xenia motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Greene County Friday after he reportedly slid left of center and was hit by a Jeep.

William Adams, 23, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol Xenia post.

No other injuries were reported.

The crash was reported on state Route 235 near West Hyde Road in Bath Twp. at 9:05 a.m.

A preliminary investigation determined Adams was driving a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle north on state Route 235 when he lost control, according to OSHP.

The motorcycle overturned and Adams slid left of the centerline and was hit by a 1999 Jeep traveling south. The motorcycle continued off the right side of the road before stopping in a ditch.

The crash closed state Route 235 between West Enon Road and West Hyde Road.

OSHP is continuing to investigate.
