A 2017 Ford Mustang was headed west on Germantown Pike from South Gettysburg Avenue around 11 a.m. at apparently an excessive speed when the driver, identified as Duncan, lost control on the wet road in the 3700 block of Germantown. The car began to rotate as it crossed the centerline and was struck by a 2016 Freightliner T-Line, according to a Dayton Police Department crash report.
“Witnesses on scene said that the at-fault vehicle, which is the two-door car, was going very fast,” said Sgt. Creigee Coleman.
Duncan was ejected in the crash and neither man was wearing a seat belt, police said.
The driver of the semi, a 44-year-old Huber Heights woman, was taken to Miami Valley Hospital for treatment of minor injuries, Coleman said.
