Greenville woman killed in I-75 north crash in Miami County

A 64-year-old Greenville died in a two-vehicle crash on I-75 north in Miami County Tuesday morning.

Sharon Snyder was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. No other injuries were reported.

Just before 6 a.m., Snyder was reportedly driving a 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier north on I-75 near County Road 25 A when she changed lanes into the path of a semi truck.

Both vehicles came to a stop in the left lane along the cable barriers, according to troopers. The vehicles had heavy damage and were towed from the scene.

Miami County Sheriff’s deputies and Troy Fire and EMS assisted on the scene. Miami County Coroner Dr. Bill Ginn also responded.

The crash closed both lanes for about three hours, but traffic was able to pass on right shoulder.

OSHP is continuing to investigate the crash.
