A Columbia, Mo., construction services company will create an estimated 25 jobs and build a new service and sales facility in a Trotwood industrial park, the city’s Community Improvement Corp. said.

EquipmentShare.com Inc. recently bought nearly 12 acres of vacant industrial land in Trotwood for $750,000, new Montgomery County property records show.

The address given for the 11.6-acre site is Prosperity Drive in the Trotwood Industrial Park, southeast of Wolf Creek Pike and Olive Road, property records indicated. The seller was Gated Properties Global II LLC.

County land records say the sale date was July 13.

Focusing on equipment rental, maintenance and other services, EquipmentShare says it operates more than 150 facilities and has 4,000 employees. The company says its “growing presence” of locations includes equipment and service yards, research and development sites, dealerships for major brands, administrative offices and more.

The Trotwood location will include a variety of equipment such as general rental equipment, aerial lifts and booms, heavy dirt equipment, power solutions and more.

The company has an equipment and tool rental site in Hamilton at 8340 N. Gilmore Road. The Trotwood site will be the business’ third Ohio location.

In a release from the Trotwood Community Improvement Corp., Willy Schlacks, the company’s president and co-founder, said the company’s proprietary equipment trackers “can provide us with a ton of data so we can take corrective action to help customers save money and prevent downtime, which means they experience less interruptions on the job and can get more work done.”

Those interested in job openings with the company are encouraged to visit the careers page at www.equipmentshare.com and submit a form for these future positions.

No timeline was given for a groundbreaking or construction.
