A “person of interest” is in custody after a Trotwood man died following a shooting early Friday at a Jefferson Twp. nightclub.

Montgomery County Coroner Kent Dr. Harshbarger identified the victim as 43-year-old Lavar Bagley, whose cause and manner of death was not yet determined.

Gregory Bush Jr., 40 was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on Friday afternoon on suspicion of murder in Bagley’s death, according to a release from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies and medics were called around 12:15 a.m. to Napoleon’s Reloaded at 4150 Germantown Pike.

Deputies found one person who was shot in the parking lot. Medics pronounced the person dead, according to the sheriff’s office.

The second victim was at Grandview Medical Center who suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.

A 911 caller told dispatchers a red Pontiac Grand Prix drive away at the same time as the shooting, but it was not clear which direction it fled.

“I need a medic up here," the caller said. “Hurry … I don’t think he’s going to make it.”

The caller was unable to give a description of the shooter.

One caller said that an off-duty paramedic at the scene was caring for a gunshot victim as they waited for medics to arrive.

Deputies are continuing to investigate the shooting.
