Dayton Daily News partners with League of Women Voters for ‘Capitol Chat’ discussion on state politics

The Dayton Daily News will participate in Capitol Chat on Jan. 28, a free, annual event put on the by the League of Women Voters of the Greater Dayton Area focused on political happenings in Ohio’s capitol.

The event will be centered on 2024′s biggest state stories and what’s to come for 2025.

Confirmed panelists include Dayton Daily News statehouse reporter Avery Kreemer and investigations editor Josh Sweigart alongside WYSO News Director Samantha Sommer. The event will be moderated by WYSO General Manager and President of WYSO Public Radio Luke Dennis.

The event is free and open to the public from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Bassani Theatre Off Third on the third floor of the Dayton Metro Library at 215 E. Third St. in Dayton.

The League asked that attendees RSVP by Jan. 26 by emailing admin@lwvdayton.org.

If there is inclement weather, the event will be held via Zoom, though attendees must provide an email address to be notified of the change and receive a link for the event.
