Victim ID’d in Dayton deadly shooting; police seek info

A 28-year-old man was fatally shot early Saturday in Dayton.

The gunshot victim was identified Monday as Melchizedec D. Israel-Miller by Montgomery County Coroner Dr. Kent Harshbarger.

Dayton police responded around 4:10 a.m. to the 1000 block of Carver Place on a report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found Israel-Miller, who was pronounced dead at the scene, said Lt. Steven Bauer.

There are no suspects in custody at this time, he said.
