Troopers: Drivers seriously hurt in head-on crash in Xenia Twp.

Both drivers suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries Wednesday night in a head-on crash on Old U.S. 35 in Xenia Twp.

The crash was reported at 7:55 p.m. between two vehicles, and on arrival crews found that one or more of the occupants was trapped, according to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office.

Preliminary investigation revealed a 2015 Buick LaCrosse driven by David Minjarez, 56, of Leipsic, was headed west on Old U.S. 35 near Bickett Road when the Buick went left of center and struck a 2015 Dodge Caravan driven by Cheryl Vinson, 64, of Xenia, the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported.

Minjarez and Vinson were taken by ambulance to Miami Valley Hospital.

The crash remains under investigation.
