Four highway ramps around Dayton to close for repair beginning in August

Affected areas include Ohio 725 and I-675 near Dayton Mall, Dryden Road and I-75, plus Ohio 444 interchange with Route 4

Four prominent highway ramps involving Interstate 75, Interstate 675 and Route 4 in different parts of the greater Dayton area will close for multiple weeks starting in early August.

The closures, which will allow for necessary ramp repairs and improvements according to the Ohio Department of Transportation, include the following areas:

Ohio 725 ramp closure: The ramp from Ohio 725 to I-675 north, just east of the Dayton Mall area, will be closed starting Thursday, Aug. 8 through Wednesday, Aug. 21. Crews will be repairing the concrete roadway and painting the bridge.

Dryden Road ramp closure: The ramp from Dryden Road to I-75 south, just south of Arbor Boulevard in Moraine, will be closed from Sunday, Aug. 4 through Oct. 3. Crews will be reconstructing the ramp. The detour will be from Dryden Road, to East Dixie Drive, to I-75 south.

Two Route 4 ramp closures: Two ramps at the Ohio 444 interchange with Route 4, between Eastwood Lake and Huffman MetroPark, will be closed for about six weeks. Both closures are necessary to complete concrete and joint repairs on the ramp, according to ODOT.

The ramp from Valley Street / Ohio 444 north, onto Route 4 northbound will be closed from Friday, Aug. 2 through Friday, Sept. 16. The detour will be from northbound Ohio 444 to Ohio 235 to northbound Route 4.

The ramp from Ohio 444 south to Route 4 southbound also will be closed from Friday, Aug. 2 through Friday, Sept. 16. The detour will be from southbound Ohio 444, to northbound Route 4, to Chambersburg Road, to southbound Ohio 444.
