For children’s primary care, all Pediatric Associates of Dayton offices are closed today and Dayton Children’s Pediatrics will open at noon on Jan. 6.
If you have an appointment scheduled with a specialty care clinic on Monday, Jan. 6, Dayton Children’s said you will be notified via text or phone call if your appointment needs to be rescheduled. If you have safety concerns with traveling to your appointment in the severe weather, you can call your child’s clinic at 937-641-3000.
Cincinnati Children’s cancelled its in-person, outpatient appointments and walk-in services today. They said they are contacting affected patients and families to reschedule these appointments.
For the adult health systems, some of Premier Health’s physician offices and/or special services are rescheduling appointments, but are otherwise operating normally.
No reports of closures through Kettering Health have been made. While Kettering Health isn’t cancelling outpatient services across the system, due to the weather and road conditions, patients should call their doctor’s office to check on availability today before heading out for an appointment.
Urgent care locations for Premier Health and Kettering Health remain open.
For Mercy Health locations in Springfield and Urbana, the following places were closed:
- Urbana Family Medicine and Pediatrics – Virtual Visits available as needed.
- Urbana Hospital Primary Care and walk in care
- Northparke Internal Medicine, but some virtual visits were still being done.
- Enon Primary Care
- Clark State Primary Care
- South Limestone Family Medicine
- Wittenberg University clinic
- Springfield Walk in clinic
- Springfield Neurology DCND
- Springfield Rheumatology
- Springfield Infectious Disease
- East Springfield Internal Medicine
As of this morning, snow total reports on the National Weather Service website included reports of 8.5 inches of snow in places like Beavercreek and Bellbrook. West Carrollton and southern Centerville had 5.5 inches while northeast Centerville had upwards of 7.8 inches of snow.
The National Weather Service had multiple reports of over 6 inches of snow in the Cincinnati area, as well as 5.8 inches near Hamilton. The Cincinnati airport, in northern Kentucky, reported 8.4 inches of snowfall.
