“This one-of-a-kind boutique offers an upscale shopping experience while supporting the lifesaving programs and services that the Humane Society of Greater Dayton provides for the community,” the Humane Society said in a release.
Each item sold at the storefront, which is located between Learning Express and Young’s Bridal Alterations in the Cross Pointe Shopping Center, will be “carefully curated to create a boutique-like atmosphere,” according to the Humane Society.
All profits will be reinvested into supporting the Humane Society of Greater Dayton’s programs, including animal rescues, community outreach, cruelty and neglect investigations, spay and neuter services and veterinary care along with other initiatives aimed at helping local pets and people.
Humane Society of Greater Dayton President and CEO Brian Weltge said Dayton Humane & Co. isn’t just a store, “it’s a movement to shop with purpose.”
“By offering high-end items in a stylish setting, we’re elevating the resale experience while funding programs that save lives and strengthen our community,” Weltge said in the release “It’s shopping that truly makes a difference.”
The Humane Society is now accepting new and gently used donations at the new storefront from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays as its prepares for the grand opening Donations can be taken to the back door of the shop.
