Infrared saunas are described as being for deep detoxification and muscle recovery. “Unlike traditional saunas that heat the air around you, our infrared saunas heat your body directly and more effectively at a lower temperature,” a SweatHouz spokesperson told this news outlet.
A cold plunge, which involves water chilled to between 48 and 55 degrees Fahrenheit, “invigorates your body, sharpens your focus and accelerates your recovery,” according to SweatHouz.
A vitamin C-infused shower can help to hydrate skin, reduce irritation and promote healthier, shinier hair, the business said..
SweatHouz calls its offerings “a scientifically-backed approach to self-care, combining hot and cold temperatures for optimal mental and physical performance and wellness.”
SweatHouz’s website adds that people are encouraged to check with their doctor if they plan to add contrast therapy to their wellness routine.
SweatHouz offers its contrast therapy at 44 locations nationwide. This will be its fourth Ohio location. Hours are 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
Other Austin Landing businesses in the wellness arena include Club Pilates, CycleBar, Spavia and Orangetheory Fitness. SweatHouz said it chose Austin Landing because it is “the perfect spot to reach people who prioritize wellness and self-care.”
A planned Feb. 7 grand opening celebration will be the first day individuals can experience SweatHouz’s luxury private suites. The company said booking in advance is recommended to guarantee an appointment.
