Operations from Midmark facilities in Lebanon and Leesburg, Ohio, as well as sites in Missouri, will transfer to other locations by late March, according to a statement the medical, dental and veterinary products company released to the Dayton Daily News Wednesday evening.

Midmark will consolidate four veterinary and animal health manufacturing sites to “provide an improved end-to-end customer experience,” the business said.

Fewer than 15 Lebanon employees will be impacted, a spokeswoman for Midmark said.

“This difficult decision was made to adapt to evolving customer requirements and supply chain expectations,” Jon Wells, Midmark president and chief executive, said in the statement. “We understand the impact this decision has on our affected teammates and sincerely appreciate their contributions to Midmark.”

The business said it will provide outplacement services and job opportunities at company locations in Versailles, Ohio, Kansas City, Mo., and Glasgow, Ky.

“Midmark has been an active part of the greater Dayton area for more than 50 years, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to the region and the state of Ohio,” Wells said.

In addition to six production and innovation hubs, Versailles is home to Midmark’s headquarters and largest manufacturing site. The Versailles campus employs more than 1,100 people and has seen investments in recent years, including a 114,000-square-foot expansion in 2021 and a $19 million manufacturing expansion in 2024.

The state’s WARN notice board did not have a notice from Midmark late Wednesday. A spokeswoman for Midmark said the notice will concern the impact on the Leesburg facility, not Lebanon.

The Lebanon facility is at 360 Harmon Ave.
