Charges of aggravated burglary, abduction, having weapons while under disability and cruelty to animals were dismissed.
Adams is scheduled to be sentenced on Jan. 14.

On Aug. 22, Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an apartment for a report of shots fired.
A resident told deputies Adams came into the apartment with a handgun and accused him and his friends of breaking into Adams’ home, according to Vandalia Municipal Court records.
“(The resident) advised Adams made several statements that he would kill them if he didn’t get his money,” an affidavit read.
When a dog started to growl at Adams, he pointed a gun at it and shot it. The dog then ran to the back of the apartment.
A neighbor went to investigate after hearing the gunfire and saw Adams with the handgun.
“(The neighbor) stated Adams accused him of stealing his items, too, and attempted to have him come inside the apartment,” the affidavit read.
The neighbor denied having any knowledge of the theft and went back to his place to call 911.
When deputies arrived, they found Adams and took him into custody. He reportedly got rid of the handgun, which deputies found in some woods nearby.
