On Thursday Adams reportedly went to a man’s apartment and accused the man and his friends of breaking into Adams’ home.
“(The man) stated Adams was holding a handgun at that time and pointed it at him and his friend,” an affidavit read. “(The man) advised Adams made several statements that he would kill them if he didn’t get his money.”
The man’s dog started to growl at Adams and Adams reportedly pointed the gun at the dog and shot it. The dog ran off to the back of the apartment.
A neighbor heard a gunshot and went outside to investigate.
The neighbor told Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies Adams accused him of stealing his items as well and tried to get him to come inside the apartment, according to court records.
The neighbor went back to his home and called 911.
Deputies recovered the handgun from woods nearby. Adams was arrested and booked into the Montgomery County Jail.
